Unemployment rate remains the same
The unemployment rate in Canada in October 2012 remained unchanged since last month, at 7.4%. However, employment level in the country has decreased, and the biggest reduction was in the agricultural sector. According to Statistics Canada report, employment in the private sector – one of the most significant for economic growth – was reduced by 20.3 thousand workplaces. Employment among self-employed also was reduced by 14.9 thousand jobs. The largest jobs cut is noted in agriculture – 16 thousand, but the most of all new workplaces was created in educational sector – 16.2 thousand. There were no significant changes in the construction, production and natural resources fields.
